Parents: The district has been experiencing internet disruptions. This has led to our phone service being in and out, state required testing issues, and all computers to have unusable internet connection at times. We have been actively working with the Arkansas Department of Information Systems (DIS) and Ritter Communication, who provides our internet connection, since the disruptions began. Ritter believes they have determined the cause of the disruptions but cannot guarantee a solution by the end of this week. Because of this, we have forwarded the elementary and high school phone lines to cell phones. This allows parents to still reach our offices with the same numbers they usually use. However, we will not be able to transfer any calls. Please bear with us as the office relays messages. The district is also working the Arkansas Division of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) to change state required testing dates. We will continue to work with the state and Ritter to get this issue resolved as quickly as possible. Please know that your students are safe and still learning during this outage.
Rescheduled Testing Dates:
MHS Atlas Writing Test – Monday 3/11/24
MES Atlas Writing Test – Tuesday 3/12/24
ACT test for MHS Juniors – Tuesday 3/26/24
